Dermal Fillers & Facial Architecture

RESTORE HARMONY AND SCULPT YOUR UNIQUE CONTOUR THROUGH THE POWER OF VOLUME RESTORATION

At Fulfilled, we recognize that beauty is found in balance—the delicate interplay of light and shadow across the face. As time passes, the natural foundations of our features can shift and soften. Our dermal filler treatments are designed to act as a structural support, replenishing lost volume and refining your natural architecture. Whether we are defining a jawline or restoring a youthful pout, our goal is to enhance your inherent geometry, leaving you with a look that is elegantly balanced and undeniably you.

Dermal Fillers: Restore, Sculpt & Balance

What are dermal fillers? They are injectable, structured gels—most commonly made of moisture-rich Hyaluronic Acid—used to restore lost volume, smooth deep lines, and contour the face. If you've been wondering how long dermal fillers last, results typically stay refreshed for 6 to 18 months depending on the area treated and the dermal filler brands used.

Your Filler Journey: Prep & Aftercare

Pre-Treatment:

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: For 7 days prior, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin), and certain supplements like Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, and St. John’s Wort. These can increase the risk of bruising at the injection site.

  • The Alcohol Rule: Refrain from consuming alcohol at least 24–48 hours before your treatment, as alcohol thins the blood.

  • Arnica & Pineapple: Some patients find that taking Arnica Montana (an herbal supplement) or eating fresh pineapple (which contains Bromelain) starting 3 days before treatment helps minimize swelling.

  • Plan Your Calendar: Do not schedule your dermal filler treatment within 2 weeks of a major event (wedding, photoshoot) or international travel, as minor swelling and bruising are common.

Aftercare: The First 48 Hours

Once your dermal filler is placed, the "setting" phase begins. Follow these steps to ensure the product stays exactly where it belongs.

  • Hands Off: Do not massage or rub the treated area unless specifically instructed by your provider. You want the dermal filler brands used to settle naturally.

  • Stay Cool: Avoid intense heat for 24–48 hours. This includes saunas, hot tubs, sunbathing, and "hot yoga." Excessive heat can increase swelling.

  • No Heavy Lifting: Skip the gym for at least 24 hours. Increased blood flow to the face can worsen bruising and swelling.

  • Elevate Your Sleep: For the first night, try to sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated to help fluid drain away from the face.

  • Lip Filler Specifics: If you received lip fillers, avoid using straws or smoking for 24 hours, as the repetitive "pursing" motion can disrupt the placement.
